Welcome....... to the Mt. Pinos Recreation Area- So. California's premier, most diversified recreation location!  We invite you to visit our area and enjoy the wonderfully clean, cool air and four natural seasons- unique in this part of the state.

Current weather conditions in Frazier Park can be found HERE, and the Kern County Mountains Forecast from the U.S. Weather Service/San Joaquin Valley Office for Frazier Park, the Tehachapis and Lake Isabella can be found HERE.

The Frazier Park Area Visitors' Center offers area info and resources, booklets, maps, T-shirts, etc.

50 square miles of cross country and backcountry skiing, snowshoeing and snowboarding are available on Mt. Pinos.  In addition, many other trails are available on Frazier Mountain, Tecuya Ridge and Mt. Able.  Snowfall averages from 3 to 8 ft. each winter in the area.

In the summer, many of these same trails are available for mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking and sightseeing.  Other local mountain biking info can be found HERE.  Native trout fishing for smaller fish is also superb in Lockwood and Piru Creeks, as well as numerous other tributaries in the area.  See Stream Map.

Frazier Ski & Pack is the primary source for local recreation info, trail maps, cross country ski and backcountry snowboarding gear, classes and rentals, snowshoes and rentals, snow/fishing/trail reports & road conditions, fishing tackle & bait, mountain biking info/gear and a complete curriculum of outdoor/wilderness instruction & tours

Several new recreation proposals for the area are in the preliminary phase of development also, including snowmaking for downhill skiing and snowboarding at the Frazier Park Snowboard Park, new fishing opportunities and a mountain bike/BMX park.

More info will be added to this page as time allows.  We welcome your suggestions & ideas.  Please visit our area often!
