IM-6 graphite construction blanks (VERY
light weight); ferruless design, aluminum oxide stripper guides, stainless steel snake
guides, top & hook keeper, graphite reel seat with stainless steel hoods, top grade
cork grip. One of the best bargains going!
Over the years, we have had
the privilege of studying many rods such as Orvis, Loomis, Fenwick, Powell, etc. We
went from fiberglass to boron to graphite to IM6 graphite, IMX graphite, etc. One of the
better rods that we sold was the Powell, designed and made by Walton Powell, very
fishable, similar in feel to the finest IM6, retailing in our shop for $230-290.
Today, only this year, Pfleuger has this new Purist IM6, which feels and handles the same
as the Powell. It has stainless snake guides, a good reel seat, a soft Portugese
cork handle with an emerald blank and deluxe wrappings. We HIGHLY recommend it.
Don't let the price fool you; this rod will give you a lifetime of good flyfishing,
with great quality and handling. It has a sensitive feel that is perfect for trout,
